Michigan Disposal Waste Treatment Plant

Michigan Disposal Waste Treatment Plant (MDWTP) is the largest stabilization and treatment facility in North America (by volume) with the ability to process hazardous and non-hazardous materials through stabilization, chemical oxidation/reduction, deactivation, micro encapsulation and other permitted technologies.  MDWTP manages more than 600 federal and state waste codes.  The facility also features a Regenerative Thermal Oxidation (RTO) system, Thermal Desorption Unit (TDU) and is the only treatment and stabilization facility in North America that is fully compliant with RCRA Subpart CC emissions standards.  This allows MDWTP to treat organic waste streams with high concentrations of Volatile Organic Compounds (above 500 ppm) as a more cost-effective option than incineration.  MDWTP is ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certified.
